An award-winning designer with over 24 years of international experience, Julia is known for her expertise in bespoke design and a deep understanding of craftsmanship. She combines creative vision with strategic insight to deliver exceptional results.
Throughout her career, Julia has built a strong reputation for excellence in bespoke design, with her work featured in leading industry publications. She is passionate about collaborating closely with clients, listening carefully to their needs, understanding their vision, and transforming their ideas into beautifully realized spaces, whether a statement kitchen, a serene dressing room, or a fully curated home. Her approach is grounded in precision, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that each project balances refined aesthetics with everyday living.

Janik Lemery
OPERATIONS DIRECTOR & LEAD DESIGNER
With nearly three decades of experience at Astro Design Inc, Janik brings a depth of knowledge and continuity that shapes every project she touches.
Over her 29-year tenure, she has evolved from designer to project coordinator and execution lead and now plays an integral role in the firm’s operations, bridging creative vision with practical delivery.
Her portfolio spans a wide range of projects, from thoughtfully detailed residential interiors to custom homes and luxury multi-unit developments. Regardless of scale, her approach remains consistent: she listens carefully, translates her clients’ needs into refined design solutions, and executes each space with precision.
Known for her attention to detail and steady, grounded presence, she creates environments that feel both purposeful and personal. Her work reflects not only her clients’ lifestyles, but also a quiet confidence, spaces that are as functional as they are composed.

Shuya Cheng
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
Her path into design began with a shift in perspective, moving from a background in commerce to a more creative, spatially driven discipline, she pursued Interior Decorating at Algonquin College, where she developed a strong foundation in both design principles and construction, which was further enriched by her co-op experience at an architectural design firm.
She has continued to refine her approach through exploration, observation, and hands-on project involvement. She approaches each project with curiosity and intention, seeing design as an evolving process of inquiry and resolution.
For Shuya, design is a form of quiet communication expressed through proportion, material, light, and detail. She draws inspiration from existing architecture, using it as a foundation to guide her interventions. Rather than adding excess, she focuses on refining and elevating what is already present, allowing interiors to feel cohesive, intentional, and inherently connected to their architectural context.

Anna Zabirnyk
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
With a Master’s degree in Architecture from Ukraine, she brings a strong architectural foundation to her work. Her expertise is further supported by professional training in interior design, colour theory, and 3D visualization.
With experience across Ukraine, Israel, and Canada, Anna has worked on both residential and commercial projects, from material selection to detailed design development. She is highly skilled in 3D visualization and technical drawings, allowing her to translate concepts into clear, buildable solutions.
Anna believes that strong functional planning is the foundation of a successful interior. Combined with a refined sense of materials, colour, and texture, this approach creates layered, well-balanced spaces that support everyday comfort and well-being. She see each interior as a carefully composed system, tailored to the individual and shaped by their lifestyle, habits, and personality.

Amanda Pike
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
An interior design ARIDO intern with a strong academic foundation, holding a Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) from Algonquin College, where she also completed her Building Biology Advocate (BBA) certification.
Her experience in residential design has been shaped through a combination of hands-on roles and collaborative studio environments, contributing to the development of drawings, presentations, and client-facing work. This exposure has informed a thoughtful and well-rounded approach to the design process.
Amanda is guided by the belief that interiors should enhance the everyday lives of those who inhabit them. With a particular interest in biophilic design, she focuses on creating spaces that foster well-being by connecting people to natural elements, resulting in environments that feel both intentional and restorative.
